pinging saga at an end!!!

Could this be it? I think I have finally eliminated my pinging problem. So I did an extensive water decarbonization using over 1 l of distilled water...still pinged, (although idle seemed smoother and more consistant) So then I was thinking maybe the ARC ECU SW had some lean spots in it to reduce torque... so I had my ECU reflashed with AERO maps WOOO HOOOOO but still pinging... so then in desperation I cleaned, gapped and installed some old BCPR7's I had lying around in the garage, ...less ping!! (still on regular gas to try and trouble shoot). The plugs were still a bit dirty so expected the needed to clean themselves for a while. On the second drive, even less pinging...filled up with Shell 91....NO PING SO FAR!! I will get some new BCPR7's but the BCPR6's had a really white insulator, which makes me wonder if my car for *SOME* reason likes a slightly colder plug...??!!? Fingers crossed, I will experiment with some mid grade and perhaps use reg when it goes sub zero here.
