Help again after market wheels for a 2006 Aero Posted by rpm2 [Email] (#259) [Profile/Gallery] (more from rpm2) on Sun, 1 Nov 2009 08:22:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We have a small problem on our new "to us" 2006 Saab Aero. We have 3 bent rims according to the Saab dealer. Amazing the PPI per-purchase inspection at another dealer didn't catch that. We're fighting that.
The seller is willing to help me resolve this issue. We didn' catch it in our test drive either. It's not noticable under 60MPH.
So my wife and I were exploring other options and I thought of putting on 17" rims from Tire Rack 17 x 7.5 for $126 a piece. The ones I'm looking at are really cool.
1. What is he bolt pattern for our wheels? My wife is afraid if we replaced the rims from Saab they'll bend easily again. We actually as part of the sale got actual 16" Saab rims with winter tires.
2. Can rims be fixed. I think the seller is willing to help replace the real bad rim and I was going to repair the other 2. Is that possible?
How much is it and what kinds of companies do this? We're in Milwaukee.
I'm still checking other suspension things and from what the Saab dealer noted the issue is with the rims only.
Thanks for any help.
