The 205/55-16 snow tires were for the OG 9-3s (which had 205/55s with 16 inch wheels) and the 9-5 Aero. The 215/55-16s were for the the 9-5s that came with 16 inch wheels. The 225/45-17s on the earlier 9-5 Aeros are slight smaller in diameter then 215/55-16s and 205/55-16s are a near perfect match for them.
