yesterday my siren of my MY99 SW decided to go wild, in the office parking lot, at the office. No lights, just the siren wailing. Nothing I could do would stop it... and I had visions of running out in the middle of the night, having woken up my neighbours and kids...so I called Christian at Aktive in Oakville, who had one in stock, and in and out it went.

But they left it on the bench in the shop, and it kept going off, by itself. So I asked, what can you do with it? and the answer was smash it with a hammer. I was more humanitarian, and unscrewed the top, and pulled off the speaker connector. Now it is silent but happy.

I think i will wait for next Halloween, and use it for my scary display at the front of the house I guess. Or reconnect it and put it someone's trukn... the possibilities are endless.

By the way, I had only a couple of Service Theft Alarm messages before all hell broke loose yesterday.
