Do you have the actual code AutoZone pulled from your car? (Pxxxx) Unfortunately most Autozone employees assume most of us are automotively-retarded and just tell us what the code means. There are quite a few Saab-specific codes that Autozone would not have in their books, but most of us here are familiar with them. If you supply us with a code maybe we could more accurately diagnose your problem. My guess is the code you have is something like P0116 which means there's unmeasured air getting into the engine via a vacuum leak. This would make your car run rough and possibly stall, and the Autozone person may have mistaken "unmeasured air" as a MAF issue.
