I bought my CPO with 86k on the clock and there was no record of the timing belt (yikes!) ever being done. The first timing belt (shouldve been 60k) is under warranty, but that's only the $20 belt not the expensive pulleys/tensioner parts or the labor. I paid about 550 for the timing belt job and the serp belt which was starting to crack as well, the week after getting the car home. Of course I knew that in advance and lowered my offer accordingly. Got the service done at a different dealer from where I bought hte car since a) selling dealer's old owner drove the car a few years and they shouldve replaced the timing belt for him that was a bit strange and b) delaware dealer doesn't charge sales tax and their service dept is of higher repute than the place I bought the car, and I'm sure my dealer-A story isnt the only one.
