Saab story--the latest news on Saab Sale

Dec 1, CNN reported GM has put off a decision on Saab until the end of December.
Dec. 2, Wall St. Journal reported Dutch sports car maker Spyker is interested in Saab; the Spyker isn't making money either. Spyker produced a whopping 43 cars in 2008 and only sold 37. Saab is also in talks with other investors, including BAIC.
Dec. 3, Reuters says Saab has sold it's old 9-5 production equipment to BAIC.
Nov. 16, Bloomberg reported that US Saab dealers were running out of cars to sell.
Earlier, various news organizations reported that Saab was going to cut it's dealer network by about 1/3.
My own editorial comment: Cutting back on dealers never made sense to me, as it's the dealers who sell cars. There are no Saab dealers between Portland, OR and Salt Lake City, which are 767 miles apart. Break down in Idaho with a Saab unique problem, getting proper repairs could be a challenge. No dealers between Spokane, WA and Billings, MT. None in Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi or West Virginia. For Saab to cut back with it's very thin dealer network just sounds dumb, dumb, dumb. They need more dealers, not fewer.
