Struts, are mine bad?

Supposedly the struts on the 9-5 last a long time.
These got 95,000 miles on them.
I installed spacers on my front suspension today and noticed something with the original struts.
When unassembled, one strut leaks down to the retracted position.
There is substantial resistance when you pull the shaft back up, which is what you want to control the spring rebound.
The other remains extended, but when you compress it by hand, it very very slowly raises back up to the extended position.
Seems like they should extend with more force, like the Bilsteins I put on the rear a few weeks ago, and the Sasch struts I put on my wifes 9-3 last month.
I haven’t really noticed and negative handling/suspension issues when driving.
But seems like I may need some new struts soon…
