Back in the mid 80's, I owned a 1980 SAAB 900 EMS, metallic blue, really cool wheels, fancy detailed seats, and no TURBO. Probably one of the best cars I've ever owned, if not the best. Man did that EMS handle! Then a Guy in a store parking lot had a sharp white 1982 900 Turbo and wanted to trade + some of my money and I ended up doing so - a horrible mistake. The 900 Turbo was a POS. Turbo failed twice, head gasket, transmission, water pump, axles, wheel bearings, weird electrical issues, and everything rattled. My 1980 was rattle free. So I know SAAB's can rattle and drive you nuts. It certainly drove me nuts. I sold the 1982 and never looked back. I tried to locate my old mint 1980 EMS to no avail. Then I drove other brands until this 2002 9-5. I love this car. And the V6 has been great besides leaky turbos and unexplained coolant loss. Anyway, maybe you need to trade it in and either get another SAAB or something else? There are some great deals out there but selling will also be soft. Good luck with whatever you do.
