For a 1998-2005 9-5, the options are...
1) Telephone circuit is MONO. It's there so one can connect a cell phone circuit. I have a Motorola Bluetooth unit connected to the TEL circuit on my 1999 sedan. The received telephone audio comes through the stereo speakers, the radio/tape/CD function is muted and paused (as applicable), and there is a microphone in the overhead (supplied by Saab). Very handy.
3) AFAIK, the only option here is an AudioTroll, which is no longer manufactured. There is a handshake or something that goes on between the head unit and a CD changer. You can't just connect something to the changer input, as the radio won't even switch to the changer if it doesn't detect a changer on the bus. Not sure how that could be faked.
So, you're basically down to the different Cassette options.
