First thing I would do is plug in a code scanner and see what the car says is wrong. It's pointless to guess about the CEL. Could be hundreds of things.
After you see that code you'll know what level of misery you're at. Chances are the car just reset all the readiness monitors and that's your CEL. Since I don't like to fly blind I bought two code scanners. The first was a cheapo which didn't give enough information. The second was not. I shoulda bought the good one first and not wasted 70 bucks on the cheapo.
