I had a frozen brake caliper bolt on my Silverado when I first bought it (it was a Torx bit bolt). After many frustrating hours, I ended up cutting a slot into one side with a cut off wheel on my grinder. In the newly cut slot, use a screwdriver or small chisel and a hammer on the outermost edge of the bolt and direct it in a counter clockwise motion as you're tapping it. If you don't have a grinder you might try a hacksaw to cut the slot. Also, I have the "bolt out" from Craftsman which, thankfully, I've never had to use. I wonder if it's any better than what you bought from Irwin? Here's another thought, maybe you should try a small pipe wrench. They usually grab onto anything. Good luck.
