It's a pretty big job on a transverse FWD car. On the 9-5, you're into disconnecting or removing much of the left front suspension, disconnecting the right side propshaft, and the shifter linkage and pulling the transmission out of the car. And that's just the beginning...
You'll definitely need a suspension beam to support the engine from the top.
Not impossible, but not for the faint of heart, or the person without the facilities and tools for it.
I'd be pretty confident that a shop could turn it around in a day, but a first-time DIYer, would likely take at least a full weekend.
