leaking oil down side of the block? or coolant mixing in your oil? I ALMOST had the head pulled for the leaking oil until this site saved me $1400! turns out there's a "bulletin" on this. search this site. the head bolts loosen up and need to be retorqued. they have to be removed, measured and either replaced or reused if OK. mine were OK. dealer MIGHT do it for free if only 60k on the car. mine had >100k. if not, dealer only charged me $200-ish and that included the new valve cover gasket you'll need. well worth it IMO. not sure if this is through 2004 model but worth a check.

word on $$. Saabs will eat your wallet alive after 60k in my experience esp at the dealer. you have to start doing anything you think you can do yourself. I am trying to do this esp if the car is running. if it is a big job and I cant drive the car, then I may take it in. esp do sched maint yourself. good luck bro. owning a Saab is a love/hate relationship! I'm on year 10 of my 3rd heartbreak! hahaha!
