Hi,
OK; 9-5 Aero 2001, 270 000KM, weird problem.
I had the stop arm broken for the blend door on driver side issue. Replace the part with a new one (eeuroparts) last night. During ordering and waiting for the new part (last 2 weeks), I did run the car with the blend door at the position that gave me the right amount of heat (still winter here in Quebec). To do so, I removed the step motor, and turn by hand the yellow shaft of the blend door to the appropriate position.
Now, I got the part, put the stop arm in place, reconnect the motor, ran the calibration, see from my own eyes under the dash (in a very uncomfortable position) the yellow shaft moving up and down with the step motor action… but and here’s my bug: no more hot air, always cold air.. Even if I see the yellow shat moving (and it’s not broken from what I saw) from 12 O’clock position (cold) to the 3 O’clock position (hot).
On the passenger side, everything is fine, hot air or cold depend of the temp requested, but on the driver side, now it’s always cold. And it did work few weeks back when I use to move the yellow part that move the blend door by hand…
Can the yellow blend door shaft be broken inside the box were I can’t see it???
Thank you for your help
