It is easy to put in and take out. The main reason I use ours is to keep things in the back out of sight of curious passers by. Even with the dark tint I have, I do not want to invite thieves by leaving belongings exposed to wandering eyes. Plus, it helps keep that car organized.
That said, I remove it for transporting the dogs, I can fit all three ( 80lb, 60lb and 70lb) of my dogs in the back, and I have the metal divider that separates the back from the rear seat...Another great accessory IMO.
