I finally started this job today. got everything out with ease except connector pipe is very hard to remove. I bought a $16 replacement so i didnt care if I mangled the old one so worked it real hard with pliers. even then, it was in good shape and could be reused. plan to put it all back together tomorrow in the daylight.

issues:
(1) the local Euro indie (that works on everything from VW to Ferrari) did NOT (as I feared) put the connector pipe in correctly. the tab was at 12 o'clock and clearly the WP did not fit all the way down over it correctly. and it is SO easy to see how it's supposed to fit! this is where it was leaking. it was not leaking at the block end of the connector pipe. this was done 3 years ago on previously original WP from factory. probably leaked very slowly for 3 years drying mostly on block before finally leaking enough to drip on ground when we finally got some extended cold days here this winter in south Florida. seemed to find the drips when it was colder and I had driven only short distance.

(2) WP-to-turbo hard coolant line banjo bolt copper washers: online retailer insisted that they sent me the correct four washers but in fact the one on the inside WP side of that banjo bolt has a rubber inner gasket. their parts list must be wrong for that one. it was too large inner diameter and did not have a inner rubber gasket. went to local store but notta. maybe NAPA on Mon would have it but dont want to wait so think I'll just reuse the old one (other 3 will be new). it seems to be in OK condition. not ripped on the gasket. unfortunately, if it leaks, this is the one ON the WP so very hard to get to where the turbo one is easy from under the car. anyone have any advice on this before I restart tomorrow after church, thanks.
