Your V6 is indeed a turbo. Posted by B Millar [Email] (#1109) [Profile/Gallery] (more from B Millar) on Tue, 13 Apr 2010 16:29:25 In Reply to: Starter R&R 2000 9.5 v-6 NON-TURBO, Jeff Levi, Tue, 13 Apr 2010 16:21:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Saab has not made ANY 9-5 anywhere in the world without a turbo.
Radio code: Why? What's wrong? The 9-5's don't use radio codes. They are electronically married or divorced to/from the car using the Saab Tech-II computer that a dealer or well-equipped Saab independent mechanic would have. If you take your radio out and put it back into your car it'll still work. But if you put it in another 9-5 it won't.
Starter failure on the 9-5 is pretty rare. In fact, I don't think I have ever heard of a 9-5 needing a starter. But that doesn't mean that yours can't be bad. It looks like you access the starter from underneath. Take the black plastic cover off under the serpentine belt you look up. You should see it.
