My ABS ding-dong sound and the ABS, brake and (!) warning lights have been coming on fairly intermittently the last month or so. I had this last spring as well and won an eBay auction for bba-reman to fix the module.

However my indy ran the code with tech-II last year and said that the fault was a pressure sensor, not the usual "failed communication" code, and he had never seen that before. It was C0131 which I read about in WIS but it didn't say much about how to fix this.

So this morning some soccer mom decides to stop at a green light, that i had sped up to 35 a block earlier to make it, to let some one else make a left turn in front of her. It's a Pennsylvania thing, left turners are always given right of way apparently.

I stopped thanks to ABS with a foot to spare, and I saw a fellow employee behind me also raising his hands incredulously at the situation.

So right before I get to work I have the ABS lights come on again (it seems to happen when things are warmed up fully) and I tested the ABS from 25mph on a straightaway in a parking lot at work. Brakes screeched, burning rubber, no ABS pumping.

Should I have the code re-read?

Would a new (used) ABS pump include this pressure sensor part? Or is it connected to the ABS Module electronics which the code does not say is bad.

I thought I fixed the problem when I saw a piece of trim touching the sensor connector. I tightened it back to the firewall and it seemed to help for a while.

But obviously the ABS doesn't work when these lights are on so I want to take care of this ASAP. If I need to rebuild the module at BBA-reman I hope they honor the good price I got on ebay last year. I paid them promptly and never sent it in.
