If you are so inclined, it is not a bad idea to get an OBD II scanner, and a WIS = Workshop Information System CD. These are available on-line at Ebay and available for download. The CD is a shop manual on CD.
OBD II scanners are available at your local auto parts store and eBay .......eBay has them as low as 35.00 with free shipping.
You could even post the codes here and they group will look it up for you.
I have a ScanGauge in one of my Saabs. It gives all kinds of readings on a full time basis and can read codes. It is permanently installed where the ash tray goes. the ScanGauge is about $160.00 on line.
