Interesting traction story... and sadness

We went to a funeral then a burial and the graveyard was down a long single lane muddy road, after lots of rain, with a hill and a valley. I have performance tires mounted. On the way in, steering was all over the place. After all were left but ourselves and 4 pall bearers, my wife tells three of them to get in the back seat. So now the car is really heavy and I am really nervous. So far so good, driven up the slope on wet grass, out to the road and going down the hill looking at the long high slope on the other side. Steering still snakey and I can see things going very wrong. So going faster and hit the up slope and giving it gas. The traction control is making lots of ABS type noise and with the front tires pulling up-slope the steering steadies out and we get up the hill with no problems. Most everyone else was in 4x4's. The rest of the story is way to sad.
