The earlier 9-5 suspension (your model) has a bearing pressed into the steering knuckle, with the hub (the part that the wheel attaches to) pressed into the bearing. In the later models, the knuckle has holes for the bearing/hub assembly to bolt on. You can't use the new style bearing/hub assembly on your car; there is nowhere to attach it to the hub.
So, you are stuck with dissembling your front suspension, taking the knuckle to a machine shop with a new bearing, have them press the new one into the knuckle, then reassembling the front suspension. You may also need a new hub. One of mine was worn and it floated in the new bearing. The cost to have the old bearing pressed out and a new one pressed in was an outrageous $60 locally at the shop. When I quizzed them on it, they said they charged a fixed price because some cars were very difficult, like Mazda, and they used an averaged time of 45 minutes.
