Starting issues (warm engine)

I am having issues starting engine of my '99 9-5 2.3 LPT wagon when it's warm. This may happen after a long or a short trip but does not happen every time. The problem goes away when the engine cools off. (I usually open hood to accelerate cooling.)
I have replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor but the issue did not go away. The starter cranks, cylinders seem to be starting to fire but all in all the engine fails to start. Repeating attempts in a short period of time gets me nowhere.
The car has 138K miles, the local indy shop put in platinum spark plugs when major service was done at 120K miles.
Someone told me to change spark plugs, then DIC. I could try swapping DIC with my 9-3, which happens to be the same as the one in 9-5. (My 9-5 DIC has about 50K miles on it.)
Starting 9-5 when the engine is cold is a little problematic, too. It always starts, though, but takes a bit too long in terms of cranking (as compared to my 2001 9-3, for example).
I'll appreciate any thoughts on how to approach the problem.
Thanks.
P.S. I stopped by at a local SF Bay Area dealer today and talked to an advisor to see, if he would have any ideas. He mentioned that some temperature sensor attached to the radiator might be causing the problem.
