Hi,
I've came here for help because all my Moscow (Russia :)) saabclub mates and specialists basically ran out of ideas.
What's the problem.
We've found ourselves in a MY2002 9-5 B235E which has been running good.
Some time ago, the car just refused to accelerate, when the engine temperature rises over ~70 deg. C... We have the stock Trionic software installed on the car, but with all kinds of info on SID (Teng, Tair, mReq, mAir, knk1, knk2, knk3, knk4 etc.)
This way we have found that car refuses to accelerate, when Teng rises over 70deg. C.
Also, when trying to press accelerator pedal on warmed-up, we have knk1, knk2 rising up like crazy ;(
Detonations high levels present have been confirmed by Tech-2 :(
We have checked basically everything:
the turbo, intercooler, fuel pressure regulator, fuelpump, injectors, ALL the sensors, brand NEW DI black cassete (and 2 used DICs), plugs, head gasket, check-valves, etc, etc. We have even taken off the oil sump, and measured the crankshaft sizes, and all of it's bearings.
Everything is within limits. ;(
But the damn thing still knocks. Not audibly, of course, it's just Trionic that senses knock. And this knocking starts with Teng close to normal.
As a "last resort" attempt we have put a RED DIC (I know it's a wrong thing to do!) et viola, our 9-5 accelerates fine, no knocks!!!
We know black DIC is a right one, but all three black DICs work the same.
Do you have any ideas?! Why it knocks after warm-up?
