Keeping in mind anything is possible with enough time and patience, but looking at the K03 setup, does not seem reasonable to fit in place of the GT-17. Best is to keep your oil changed with full synthetic every 5,000 miles with a good quality filter. When it comes time to replace the GT-17, I usually offer the installation of the TD04 turbo (from FPT and Aero models). Is a simple bolt up procedure. Source a set of used coolant and oil return lines for a TD04 and *always* install a new oil feed line (regardless of GT-17 or TD04). Compared to a GT17, the TD04 is a vehicle lifetime turbo.
