Suspension for the 1999 9-5

Hi, I own a 1999 9-5 with 123K miles. Installed new set of Michelin MXV4 Primacy, which carry mix of nitrogen and air (great tires by the way). Wheel alingment shows the front end is still perfect but rear end has too much camber - top of wheels are tilting toward centerline and will cause excessive wear on the tires. The Dealer recommends installing the wedge kit to eliminate the camber problem. The independent recommeds measuring the proper front and rear vehicle height to determine whether or not the springs have lost their life. If the springs have faded over time, it could be causing the camber. The independent also says that struts have a life span and recommends replacing them after 60 - 70K mile.
The dealer did not know the height specs and is contacting Sweden for the answer. When I asked the dealer if struts and springs have a life span, the say said they only repalce them when they are broken or obviously in need of replacing, whatever that means.
The car is great and I am confident it will take me another 100K, perhaps more so I am willing to invest in struts and springs. So my question is 1) what has been the experience of Saab owners when it comes to strusts and springs - do thet need replacing after X miles? 2) Is it better to simply install the wedge kit and eliminate the camber problem, and skip the strust and springs replacement?
Keep in mind that installing the struts and springs may or may not fix the camber problem. If it doesn't, I'll need the wedge kit as well (wich was the indepedent's point of view).
I'd be grateful for any comments or experiences people may have in this area. Many thannks. -stew
