Question about Key not accepted

Hi all,
My spare key that I usually do not use generates a "key not accepted" message. I can still start the car with the override on the keyfob.
My 'regular' key gives no problems whatsoever, so I have to assume that the communication between the RFID in the keyhead and the antenna ring is not working properly.
Is this something that can be remedied with a Tech-2, like reprogramming/ re-marrying the key, or do I need a new key to be cut and married to the TWICE?
As said, I do have the other key that works flawlessly.
Couldn't find an answer searching the BB :-(
Thanks,
Jan Geert
