Howdy,
I was planning on replacing a bunch of front-suspension related parts today, but I got stumped by the ball joint. Reading the posts here imply that balljoint replacement is almost as simple as removing the wheel, not so, for me at least. I was not able to remove the single, horizontal bolt with the 18mm nut, nor was I able to turn it after removing the nut. I tried tapping it out with a small drift that my dad had, but due to the size I couldn't really get a good whack on it.
Do I need a bigger drift, or is there another way?
The only thing I didn't try was removing the entire arm, which I will have to do at some point to replace the rear bushing, but I couldn't see how this would help me so I opted to leave it in place for now and post here for help.
