Not certain what the name of the tool utilised for the flat style spring hose clamps but there is one for that type. Another type of pliers is the corbin clamp type. This what you use with the round wire style spring clamps found on older OEM American iron such as Chrysler products. Personally I like this style of clamp but they are hard to source.
