Thanks. That is very helpful and confirms what it looks like to me as well. Some additional info: it is the SE 6cyl not the 4 cyl. The mechanic is an independent and has been reliable for us in the past. $2500 to $3000 for repair depending on what else he finds wrong once he opens it up. Conceivably could go higher if Turbo and oil cooler are compromised as well. Numbers don't paint a pretty picture.
