So I checked my "blowing over a bottle" noise this morning having filled up with Shell's best yesterday.
I pulled the negative terminal clamp to reset the CEL and then thought I would suck on the Bye Pass Valve to check the diaphram, the ECO pipe was very dusty in my hand and not wanting to come off so I traced it back and low and behold it was off its nipple. I cut the end at the Bye Pass and replaced the vacuum hose, reset the date and time inside and operated the door lock flicker a few times and Bob's your Uncle, the test run was very good and I certainly noticed an improvement in small throttle opening acceleration and of course no CEL. The vehicle is a 2003 Linear 95 Wagon in Laser Red with Black leather and 75K +/- miles.
Another thing I've had to do is put a switch between the fuse and the radio amplifier to stop the amplifier staying on and draining the battery, this was diagnosed after the LH speaker would click loudly as or slightly after the radio was switched off.
Good luck with your noise.
David.
