You know, it seems the GM v6 engine that was in the 900 and 9000 in the 1990s was not so good. Perhaps that colors the view of 9-5's GM sourced v6 (from Vauxhaul).
But the v6 in the 9-5 is quite different. Ask around; many longtime Saabanistas (e.g., Mike Lynch) will likely confirm that this is a very good motor, and a very good car.
The six and the four are different. I really think it's a matter of preference, not "this is good and that is not."
