Thanks to Scott P for this website. Thank you all for your helpful posts over the years. Your insights led me to the purchase of my 2001 lpt in May 2001 and it was with sadness that I parted with my beloved SAAB 2 days ago. Without this board and my independent mechanic: Beacon Motors in Toronto I would have been tempted to sell my car much earlier. After 9 years it was time to move on and I was in the fortunate situation of being able to afford a new car (2010 MB C300 4matic...it's funny that the purchase price of the MB was less in absolute dollars than the SAAB nine years ago and that's not including inflation (I attribute that to falling prices in luxury cars and a rising Canadian dollar)).

No regrets buying the SAAB. And knowing what I know now I would have still purchased it 9 years ago.

Good bye turbo, good bye klingon wheels, goodbye understated yet classic elegance, goodbye night panel and all the other SAAB goodies. Good bye uniqueness, I guess I'll blend in with the others for now. It's funny that though I was happy purchasing the Benz it was usurped by the sadnees of parting with my SAAB... it's still a looker.

Thank you SAAB community and SAABNET...the most helpful, useful, mature and respectful board I have seen.
