baypass or bov Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Sat, 7 Aug 2010 19:47:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
hey all, my bypass valve is trashed so i thought of investing in the bov so i can get the cool woosh sound, however after digging into the replacement i found that if the metered air by the ecu/ait mass meter isn't returned back to the charging system the e.c.u wont compensate for the blow off of the bov and will run the motor rich every time the throttle is lifted.
question is... how rich will the motor run, i found reports that the motor may actually stall after the throttle body slams shuts after a heavy boost by the ecu shoveling fuel into the motor, and or create bad boosting when the throttle door is opened immediately after,.. is this true?
im finding all horrible things about installing a bov, is there nothing good about it except for the cool sound it makes,?? all comments are appreciated
(p.s. look how cool the bov looks)
