Hello everyone and thank you for participating and solving my two recent problems. Adam 2000 SAAB 9-5 Aero. Here they are...
1) Car was bucking slightly (loss of power, almost shutting down, lasting about 2 seconds) the first two weeks (everyday about once a day). No codes were showing at the dealer and at home. Fuel pump was OK. I could not replicate the problem to show it to the dealer. It came and went whenever it wanted (ie. highway, back roads, stoplight).
The third week the bucking was worse. It happened a couple times a day. It was harder bucking, that's what I felt. No noises, just bucking. Whenever it wanted.
The fourth and last week the car almost turned off when it was bucking. It was worse and more frequent. I ordered a CPS sensor the second week and installed it myself the fourth week. BAM! Problem solved. It runs perfect.
FYI: I installed the CPS sensor by taking out the heat shield near the fan and reaching inside with a 1/4 inch wrench and #30 Torx. (WD-40 helped)
2)Front Light Failure on the SID (display). Driver side high-beam stopped working. The bulb was fine. I replaced the orange fuse Lamp Control unit
# 41 09 070 in the engine fuse box. BAM! Works perfect. I will try to fix the older one. I still need to find the SAAB 9000 post for that.
Keep participating, posting and driving, everyone wins!
