Water pump: Mechanically-driven pump (via the serpentine belt) that circulates coolant through the engine, radiator and heater while the engine is running.
Circulation pump: ELECTRICALLY-driven pump to circulate warm engine coolant through the heater core to maintain cabin temperature wile the engine is NOT running. Sometimes called the "afterheater" pump. TO activate: Ignition must be "OFF", press and hold "AUTO" button on ACC panel, until you hear a chime, and "AFTERHEATER ACTIVATED" (-01) or "SPARE HEATER ACTIVATED" (02-03) appears on SID. Then the SID will display how much heat (100%-0%) is available.
