O.K., I read the owner's manual, and I saw the part about the temperature displayed by the climate control is not the actual temperature of the interior of the car (or even the temperature the climate control is trying to maintain)...but why does Saab choose to do this? It's the second day of 90 degree heat in the Philadelphia region, and I've been perplexed with the fact that my cc system must be set to anywhere between 60-64 degrees to maintain a liveable temperature in the cabin. It functions acceptably, but the display temp. seems so out-of-whack with reality...I can't say it functions better than say my wife's V70 XC where we set the cc to 72 degrees and the cabin gets very comfortable in Winter or Summer. So does anybody have any theories on why Saab programs the Climate Control like this??? I want to add that in cold weather the same problem occurs...I need to keep the cc at around 66 or lower, or the car gets too warm. Passengers immediately get in the car and set the climate to 72 then find that it's uncomfortable - and I'm at a complete loss to explain why they have to turn the temp down so much to reach a passable level.
