I just did my rear suspension at 147,000 miles. Carr is 2001 Aero 95.
I found the upper and lower outer lateral bushings to be partially collapsed causing more camber. I also found the rear ride hight very low due to collapsed rear springs. I put in a 1.3" aluminum spacer below the springs on my Konis set in the upper spring perch position to bring the rear back to specification.
Once all of that was fixed by alignment shop got the camber and everything else into spec. They did install 1 thin shim on the left side.
So this slotting will work I guess, but worn out bushings and sacked springs are the real culprit in my case.
the results? Amazing difference!!
I installed new front Koni Struts at the same time, and the car is transformed!!! Well worth the time and effort to do it right.
