could also be a wheel sensor Posted by CrNiFe [Email] (#408) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CrNiFe) on Wed, 18 Aug 2010 06:03:32 In Reply to: ABS warning lights - xmas in August ABS module failure?, Torkum, Wed, 18 Aug 2010 05:14:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
if the ABS module can't detect the position of the wheels, it cannot work properly.
if it extinguishes when you restart the car, it may mean that it can pick up the signal. could be a wire, or could be a sensor.
start there first. if it was the module, it would never turn off the lights!
had a sensor problem on my MY05 9-5 SW, and it had to be replaced. the code could only be picked up with an OBD II, when we had it listen while driving around a parking lot.
