I'd say they are too wide for the wheels, most likely. Most Saab Aero wheels are 7" wide. The widest tire suitable for that width per most tire companies is 225mm. I just went through this decision process as I have 17x7 '03 Aero wheels on my '08 9-3 SC. I ended up using 225/45-17 beacuse of the wheel width issue vs. the 'normal' 235/45-17 size. It is possible you have wider than 7" wheels though, depending on which you have some Saab 17s are up to 8" wide.
I think if you go ahead and mount those 245s, they are may well rub as well. If you are looking for a better ride, probably a 225/50-17 would be more appropriate.
