Last night I addressed the issue of the driver's seat molding (on the left side of the seat)having disconnected from the seat frame on our 2004 9-4. The problem was that there is a torx fastener, which is accessed through a round plastic cover on the side of the plastic molding, that had come loose and fallen out. I removed the four torx fasteners attaching the seat to the floor, rocked the seat back and located the missing torx fastener on the floor. Then used a torx driver to reattach the torx fastener to the plastic molding and onto the side of the seat frame. Total job took about 15 minutes and not all that difficult once you figured out where the torx fastener attaches to.
