Always check the battery first in situations like this, even if you think it's fine. I experienced this several times on an '03 I used to own. Even though my battery was only a year old, it was indeed the culprit.
A low battery can also generate all kinds of codes. Once you replace the battery make sure to clear all of the codes. If you don't own a code reader, most auto parts stores can do this for you. If the codes don't come back, likely your battery was the only problem.
