Just wanted to add in my experience with getting a new battery recently, since I was helped by the posts here (I always come here first to look up information for my car!).
Went to Pep Boys and saw the Bosch batteries that a poster once upon a time mentioned, just shipped this month, which is nice. They actually did have the group 91 battery, but since everyone was getting the group 48, I went with that. On retrospect, that Saab original battery does have a 91 on it and that should fit better. Side by side, the 91 is a bit shorter and wider (ever so slightly in each dimension). Thus, while the battery fit fine and locked in without problems, the battery cover didn't "click" in as properly as it should, but I think it's alright. If you had a choice, though, perhaps the 91 would be better. Of note, it is about $120 versus $100 for the group 48. I think the CCA are a bit higher, (700-720 vs. 690 on mine). The saab original battery is rated at 700.
Summary: Pep Boys for Bosch battery that fits, either group 48 or 91, but 91 might be a bit better. Cost is 100-120 dollars depending on your size.
Footnote: I had a very strange experience with my car. The other day, it wouldn't start no matter what, I even tried to jump it. It just kept turning over. I figured it was the battery (after realizing it wasn't that I had run out of gas, when I poured in a plastic tank full). However, when I went to try to start the car after getting the battery, it started right up! I took it to the Saab dealer about two months ago for a service, so it shouldn't have any glaring problems. Could it still be the battery in this case? I hadn't driven it for about a week and a half before it wouldn't start. I replaced the battery anyways because it's about time (still on original equipment from 2005), but it was a weird experience. Also, my electrical components were all running fine even when the car wouldn't start... strange...
