Dan have you even driven the"rebadged Buick" The car was engineered in Sweden by Saab engineers and is new from the ground up. It is not rebadged like the 9-7x. Drive the car and tell me it's a Buick. Obviously they're is a a lot of GM parts, even the engine, but throughout Saab's history they have never built their own engines. The car drives better than any Saab I have driven and since it's my 5th one I have driven and owned my fair share. It's stuff like this that just makes it that much harder for the company to catch a break. You may not like it, but at least be honest about it. It's not rebadged. If everyone is going to wait for the "pure" Saab they'll never get there. Even the new 9-3 is going to have many shared components. It's the nature of a small boutique manufacturer like the new Saab; they are already forging alliances with competitors to keep costs reasonable.
