Sounds like your booster and possibly vacuum pump need replacement. To check, see if there is any residual vacuum left in the booster after you turn off the vehicle. If the hard vacuum line is not held tight and "pooshh" when pulled off the booster, either the booster diaphragm is torn or an inline check valve to the pump or intake is bad. Simply remove the line and check the valves operation. I usually use a 15" tip tie to stick down into the booster and fish around for a pool of oil. If there is any, replacement of the vacuum pump on the cylinder head is also required. Replacing the booster and not the pump along with cause the new booster to fail. After replacement, be sure to bleed all braking and clutch system for air pockets. I usually will install a new booster/intake/pump line as well to ensure no brake assist problems in the near future.
