I bought an oil/fluid extractor from eeuro awhile back for my wifes 2009 9-3 to change the oil. She drives alot of miles so it's a monthly oil change for her car. It didn't work very well for that so I stuck it in the garage.
I was getting ready to drain the tranny on my 2006 9-5 and remembered the extractor. My early 2006 still has the dipstick so I was able to suck out about 3 quarts at a time but worked well. The main advantage is that you don't have the pull the drain plug, worry about it leaking later, etc. Deal with the hot fluids on the 2nd, 3rd and possible 4th flushes.
