I would recommend the dealer doing the install. We had the dealer do ours on a 2001 9-5 SE wagon. They installed the Saab hitch for about $120 installation plus taxes. They estimate the job takes 3 to 4 hours but Saab limits the charge to the customer to $150. Ours ended up cheaper than they quoted. Its a lot of work-
1) they have to remove the bumper to install some brackets to the car frame.
2) the rear tail light covers.
3) remove the towing lug.
4) drill holes.
5) electrical wiring.
6) bolting the hitch to the car.
I can email you a picture of the front page of the Installation Instructions. It shows all the parts in pictures. Also I can show you what it looks like on the car. One thing to consider though - we found out that the tongue weight can only be 165 lbs, which disappointed us since the dealer said this hitch was a Class II hitch. A Class II should support 300 lbs based on my limited knowledge of hitches. This is more like a hybrid style so I am not sure if this will concern you. We plan on putting on a bike rack only so this is not that big of an issue to us. We do like that the hitch is pretty much hidden out of sight. The only thing you see is the receiver. I think this looks better than some of the other aftermarket hitches.
Good luck.
