Sorry for re-posting, but I made mistake of posting onto an older thread and have had no response. I am replacing GT17 turbo with a new cartridge. The descriptions that I have seen on the BB haven't specifically mentioned removing the exhaust manifold - as described in WIS. Is it necessary / prudent to remove it to remove and replace the turbo? I have a turbo gasket kit from Eeuro, extra studs for turbo exhaust side housing just in case, and a GT17 cartridge coming next week. I did not order an exhasut manifold gasket, but now I am wondering if I should have.
Thanks in advance for any comments on this.
