I have used the hood protector on my 99 9-5 for two years and can confirm that your hood will definitely look much better with it. It does the job quite well. Taking it off each time you wash the car is a pain, but the paint on the hood takes much less abuse with it in place. One word of caution,if you ever need to have your car towed, make sure the car is put on the tow truck with the nose facing forward. If they cannot put the car on nose forward, remove the hood protector prior to towing.Reverse airflow over this item will make it snap in pieces. You will end up with just the middle section left.
