We had no symptoms. Drove the car on an 800 mile trip to Vegas in early December with no detonation or problems. It did occur at altitude climbing from 5000 feet to 7000+ in the Sierras of CA. I was not in the car so can't report on what happened, but my sons are very savvy mechanically.
Indie says the Tech 2 reading for the mass airflow sensor is "low".......we replaced fuel filter just to be safe and will put in the new MAF when it comes in from eEuroparts in a day so so. I drove it 200 miles yesterday in the rain and at low boost and everything is fine. But it was cold and damp.
I watched temp on my ScanGauge and coolant was 185 degrees to 200 and inlet air was like 85.
I did have a heater hose spring a leak from old age, but managed to shorten it for a quick fix. I ordered new hoses from eEuroparts and will replace after Christmas. 10 years and 152,000 miles is enough on the hoses.
So I am going to watch it carefully.
